Former President Mary Robinson will open a €3 million, 100-bed facility in the Malawi capital, Lilongwe, which was built with support from the Irish charity the Rose Project. The Rose Project, which was established by Irish woman Mary Donohue in December 2003, provides care and treatment for people living with or affected by HIV or Aids in Sub-Saharan Africa. The organisation has to date funded 28 programmes that provide acute and palliative care to about 120,000 people. Click here to read the full article in the Irish Times.
